age 86, of Waterford, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home from cancer and Alzheimerrsquo;s Disease on December 11, 2016. He married Dolores (Opie) on April 14, 1951; they were married for 65 years. Gerald was born June 27, 1930, in Pontiac, Michigan. He graduated from St. Frederickrsquo;s High School, Pontiac. He worked at GM for 36 years, moving from mail boy at Fisher Body, to Plant 9 Materials Clerk, to Lobby Receptionist at the Administration Building. He was a longtime usher and altar server at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Waterford. Gerald was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa, and great grandpa. Left to cherish memories are his wife Dolores, and their children: Susan Vaughn (Gregory), Cynthia Thomas (Brent), Doreen Durrschmidt (James), Gerald P. Humphreys, Jr. (Nancy), James Humphreys (Christine), Joseph Humphreys, John Humphreys (Rebecca), Jeffrey Humphreys (Sara); 25 grandchildren and their spouses; 23 great grandchildren and spouses; many nieces, nephews, great nieces amp; nephews and all his extended family and friends. He is also survived by his sister Patricia and husband Richard McLeod, brother Joseph and wife Gloria (Opie), sister Maryann and husband Jerry Weber, brother-in-law Ernie Zubalik, sisters-in-law Barbara Humphreys and Mary Kate Parle. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents Louis, Sr. and Rose (Sebaskey) Humphreys and siblings Louis, Jr. (Bill), Robert and late wife Clarice (Brisson), Richard, Beverly Zubalik, Margaret and late husband Tim (Jerry) Schooley, and Carolyn Thibert.
