LEKTZIAN, GEORGE MICHAEL, age 90 of Oxford, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023. He was born on May 24, 1933 in Pontiac to parents Masrob and Perouz (Terzian) Lektzian. George was a proud veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed birdwatching, coin and stamp collecting, and cherished his daughter's cats. George was an avid reader and a faithful member of the Oxford and Lake Orion Libraries. George will be lovingly remembered by his daughters: Sonja Saint Clair and Angela (Leo) Sakalian; grandchildren: Jordan, Alexandra, Ara, and Nichole (Andrew); great grandchildren: Leightyn, Ryer, Gregory, and Christopher; sister, Alice Correia; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by both parents and brothers: Richard (Katie), Melcolm (Mary), Pete (Connie), Sam (Helen), and Alex (Lois). As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will be held at a later date at Ottawa Park Cemetery. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to Older Persons' Commission – Meals on Wheels in honor of George.
