Doherty IV; dear grandfather of Megan Thill, Isabella Doherty, Seth Doherty and Tessa Doherty; brother of Jodi (Jerry) DeRue and Patricia (Dean) Swoffer. George was a veteran of the U.S. Army-Vietnam. He retired from GM as a Skilled Trades Carpenter and was a member of UAW Local 594.
