Born in Glover, North Dakota, August 11, 1927, the son of the late Louis and Alida Whitfield. Beloved husband of (late) Nancy (Wright) Whitfield; father of Mark (Colleen), Brad (Lee Henderstein), Kevin (Ann Rotunda), and Lisa Gene; grandfather of 6; brother of (late) Harry and Wilfred. Gene was a veteran (Provost Marshall Investigator) of the U.S. Army, a graduate of Lawrence Institute of Technology, worked his career and retired from the cutting tool industry. Gene was a proud member and former Elder of Orchard Lake Community Church, Presbyterian (OLCCP).
