BEEVER, GENA M. of Waterford, passed away March 3, 2022 at 93 years of age. Dear wife of the late William Beever; beloved mother of David (Cindi) Beever, Kenneth (Debbie) Beever, Debra (Barry Everingham) Gorski, and Thomas (Kimberly) Beever; cherished grandmother of 11; honored great-grandmother of 9. She also leaves behind her dear friends Jill and Jim Dotterrer. Preceded in death by siblings Lina Carcone, Carl Chimenti, and Isabelle Castiglione.

Beautiful inside and out, Gena was creative and kind, generous and affectionate, loyal and pure—a radiant spirit that always shone bright, even until her final days. A remarkable woman of strong morals, virtuous character, and devoted faith, Gena was petite in size but had the heart of a giant. Her infectious joy and laughter touched the lives of everyone who had the pleasure to know her—and there was no limit to the love she gave.

Her front door was always kept open – and a seat at the dinner table always ready for guests. A wonderful Italian cook, she delighted in making sure friends and family were well-fed and cared for. Her home was regarded as a place of comfort, happiness, and unforgettable memories. All who entered were made to feel welcomed, valued, and special. And leaving was a process that could take hours, due to her endless hugs and sweet endearment.

Known for her artistic passions, Gena was a budding ballerina as a young girl and would later become an accomplished oil painter of portraits and landscapes. She adored children and served as a teacher's aide for the West Bloomfield School District for over 30 years, retiring in 1992. In addition, she graciously worked in the latchkey program at Scotch Elementary School. Gena was a faithful member of St. Perpetua Catholic Church in Waterford and a member of the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center.

Above all, Gena treasured her time with family. She spent every Sunday with her daughter and could always count on frequent visits from her sons, grandchildren, and in-laws. She was the "Queen Bee" to a close-knit family spanning three generations, who are heartbroken by her loss but remain forever blessed by her love. There was never another like her before, and there never will be again. She will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 10am–11am at St. Perpetua Catholic Church, 134 Airport Rd, Waterford, MI, followed by a funeral mass at 11am. Private burial at Acacia Park Cemetery, Beverly Hills.
