SOLOMON, GARY WAYNE, age 68 of Royal Oak, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. Gary was born on May 1, 1952 in Maple Ridge to parents Cleo and Marilyn (Collver) Solomon. He retired from Magnatool in 2012 after several years of service. Gary enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid deer hunter and fisherman. He also loved NASCAR and working at the Hazel Park Race Way and Churchill Downs with the horses. Gary is survived by his siblings: Rich (LeeAnn) Solomon, Lori (Randy) Helton; nephews: Gary John (Barb) Solomon, Cameron A. Helton; niece, Christina (Steve) McCrimmon; great nephews: Jackson, Cooper, and Tyler; great niece, Olivia. He was preceded in death by both parents, and brother, Charles "Chuckie" Solomon. A Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Rochester Church of the Nazarene, 1799 Walton Blvd., Rochester. Visitation will take place at church from 9:30am until 11am. Interment to follow at Clayton Township Cemetery. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or American Cancer Society in honor of Gary.
