PIKE, GARY R. of Waterford, passed away January 16, 2021 at 77 years of age. Loving husband of Marilyn (nee Slade) for 54 years; beloved father of Catherine (Robert Crothers) Schneider; grandfather of Rachel and Audrey; brother of Beverly Pike, David (Susan) Pike, and Timothy (Suzanne) Pike. Gary served in the National Guard, attended U of M Flint, and retired from Pontiac Motor after 43years of service in 2004. A longtime member of Community Presbyterian Church he was a faithful servant of the Lord. His activities included: Sons of the American Revolution; Sons of Confederate Veterans; Michigan Regimental Roundtable; Abraham Lincoln Roundtable; Waterford Historical Society; Elder of Community Presbyterian Church; and SSGT Michigan National Guard. Gary will lovingly be remembered for his warm sense of humor; ability to make people laugh; his positive and even temperament; and his loving and kind heart. His warm smile so freely given will be missed by family and friends. From Gary's favorite Civil War letter, "Family do not mourn me; think I am gone, and wait for me, for we shall meet again."
