Frederick Dale
Brauning
Dec 1, 1949 — Jan 27, 2023
BRAUNING, FREDERICK D. "FRED" of Clarkston, formerly of Chesterfield Township passed away January 27, 2023 at 73 years of age. Loving husband, companion, and best friend of Annette Lovse for 39 years; brother of Bill (Vena) Brauning, Larry Brauning, Patricia (the late Mike) Steffori, and Marianne Brauning; brother in law of Elizabeth Lovse. Preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Patricia (née Semrau) Brauning, father in law John Lovse, and beloved Portuguese Water Dog Sharky. Survived by many nieces, nephews, and one great nephew Blake. Born and raised in St. Claire Shores, Fred was a 1967 graduate of Lakeview High School and attended Lawrence Technological University studying architecture but his true passion and talent was carpentry. He was a master carpenter, licensed builder, and owned two businesses, BW Construction and LA Cabinetry. Creative, artistic, with an eye for color he was always working on a special project in his workshop. In his spare time he was a dog handler showing his prized dogs all over the country along with Annette's business Glasical Canine and scuba diving at every opportunity. Fred was a "gentle giant" with a sense of humor and one liners for every occasion. A patriotic man, Fred loved his country and always believed in doing the right thing. He made friends wherever he went and strangers were drawn to him to share their stories. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him. Celebration of Fred's life will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON. Family will have a celebration of his life at a later date.
