Beloved husband of the late Laura; loving father of Linda (the late John) Avery; dear grandfather of Beth (Perry) Threatt and Kristin (Bob) Gibb; great grandfather of Clayton, Anna, Avery, and Brody. Preceded in death by his sister Martha Savage. Fred was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and a huge Tigers fan. He worked for General Motors before going to work for National Twist Drill, from which he retired in 1977 after 27 years of service.
