LANPHER, FRANKIE DONZELL (Russell), of Clarkston, Michigan went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, January 22nd at the age of 82. Frankie was born in Athens, Tennessee in 1937, and was the daughter of the late James Ernest and Lena Viola Russell. Frankie is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Samuel Franklin Lanpher. They were married in Pontiac, MI at Emmanuel Baptist Church on June 14, 1958. Frankie was a cherished mother of Danny (Susan) Lanpher of Holly, MI and Donald (Rebekah) Lanpher of Fort Myers, Fl. Frankie delighted in her 10 grandchildren and their spouses; Celeste (Adam) Hensley, Nathan (Megan) Lanpher, Tarah (Chester) Matthews, Dale (Jerika) Lanpher, Don (Ashely) Lanpher, Maria (Jessie) Swinea, Tina (Jason) McClaran, Anna (James) Fleck, Lucas Lanpher and Jimmy (Chandley) Lanpher. She adored her 19 great-grandchildren; Chaz, Jax, Sam, Abel, Abigail, Waylon, Hank, Ira, Kylee, Ava, Ethan, Arianna, Lincoln, Evelyn, Dani, Adalynn, Reagan, Jaina and Cohen. She is also survived by her brother Ronald (Judy) Russell, and brother in-law James Warner as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased in death by her Brother and sister in laws; Caleb and Marie Lanpher, Mary and Edward Hibner, Betty and Willis Holdsworth, and Elizabeth Warner. Frankie was an incredibly gifted artist who loved to share her God given talents through painting, photography, writings of poetry, and sculptures. She found joy in using these gifts to serve her Savior in various ministries and churches throughout her lifetime including that of her home church, Great Lakes Bible. Frankie's hobbies include waterskiing, snowmobiling, and long nature walks. She had a joyous view of the seeing the world as God's canvas and lived every day noticing the smallest of details that made His creation beautiful. She expressed her belief in the Lord Jesus Christ and strived to live a life that would be honoring to Him. She made her heavenly reservations and asked for salvation when she was a child and was later baptized in Mouse Creek on her grandfather's farm in TN. Some of her favorite hymns were Amazing Grace, What a Day That Will Be, How Great Thou Art, He Touched Me, Beulah Land, and Face to Face. In her Bible she had inked this phrase, "God has not promised an easy journey, but He has promised a safe arrival." Frankie Donzell was deeply loved by her friends, deeply cherished by her family, and will be greatly missed by all who was blessed to know her.
