of Waterford, passed away September 2, 2019 at 97 years of age. Jean was born in Gaines, Michigan to Walt and Alice (nee Fox). She was a graduate of Linden High School where she was named Valedictorian for one day, as it was determined that she was a transfer student and therefore could not hold the highest honor. She earned a bachelor degree from the Business Institute in Pontiac. Jean married Ralph in 1941 and they would settle in Pontiac where she worked for Michigan Bell. Ralph was discharged for US Army WWII and they returned to Pontiac to work and raise their family. Over the years Jean held secretarial jobs, including Nestle Milk Products, Veteran's Administration, General Services Administration, Internal Revenue Service, and Andersonville School. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; two children Dr. James Wilson and Jeanette Chew; grandsons, Scott and Robert Chew; and sisters, Olga Schram and Marian Keating. She is survived by grandchildren, Rachel (Nick) Allen, Laurelin Wilson, and Earendil Wilson; in laws, Ron Chew and Sandra Wilson; nephews Ed and Phil Keating; and special friend Nora Sparks. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Gaines, Michigan.DUE TO SEVERE ALLERGIES, PLEASE NO LILIES.
