AMOS, FRAN of Waterford, her remarkable life came to an end Thursday, July 7, 2022. She was born on January 12th, 1939 in Pontiac, Michigan to parents Charles G. and Beulah Marie Kamachos (nee Marion); beloved wife of the late Thomas E. Amos of 57 years; survived by her son Jeffrey Amos, daughter Stephanie (John) Collins, granddaughter Cheyenne Collins, and Grandson Harley Collins.  Fran received her Bachelor of Science in Management from Oakland University in 1980. She met the love of her life Thomas and they married July 12th, 1956 and together they raised a beautiful family in Waterford, on Lake Oakland. Fran was a hard worker and a dedicated servant of her Community: worked for Michigan Bell as a Clerk operator, information services supervisor, and finance management; was the Oakland County commissioner, State of Michigan Representative 43rd district, Board Member VIBE (OCCU), Best Source CU, Lake Community CU; community service and accomplishments: Founding Member of Oakland University Alumni School of Business, University School of Business Alumni Scholarship 1989 Endowed and names its Scholarship THE FRANCES C. AMOS Alumni Scholarship, Oakland University Distinguished Alumni Service Award 1990, Chai of Community Mental Health Board CMH, Assertive Community Treatment Program Oakland County, Oakland County Farmer's Market Restoration Program, American Business Women's Association woman of the year '87, '88, '99, Top Ten 2000, Lake Oakland Heights Association Women's Auxiliary, Silver Lake Road Adoption – Clean up and Flower Program. Fran's larger than life spirit will be always remembered and cherished but all. A funeral service will take place at 6 PM on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – CLARKSTON (8909 Dixie Hwy). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13th, 2022 from 1-9pm and Thursday from 1-9 PM. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
