JOAN' of Bloomfield Hills, went home to be with her Lord on January 12, 2018 at 76 years of age. Born January 30, 1941 in Detroit, the daughter of the late James and Thelma Counsell. Beloved wife of Ronald J. Case for 52 years. She is also survived by her brothers Mike and Howard and sisters Dianna and Bobbie; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a large extended family. She is preceded in death by her brothers Don, Ron and Frank and sister Barbara. Joan retired from Bloomfield Township after many years of service; her last years serving as Personal Property Assessor. She was a faithful member of Waterford Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school for many years. In her free time Joan enjoyed doing art work, turning out beautiful pieces of art; she also loved collecting figurines.
