DeBoer Eugene E. of Clarkston peacefully passed away June 13, 2022 surrounded by family at his home. Eugene died of complications from cervical spine surgery. He was a loving soulmate, husband, and best friend for nearly 58 years of marriage. Eugene was a Veteran of the United States Army. As serendipity would have it, he was from Washington State and Rosemarie from New York. Their love story began in Germany where they met at a military Library. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Lawrence Technological University and a master's degree from the University of Southern California. Eugene had many successful years working in management positions at Fortune 500 IT companies and eventually owned his own computer consulting business. He was a hard working man and partnered with his son Matthew to launch Midwest Concrete, Inc. and continued the business on his own in memory of Matthew.

In his free time, he enjoyed listening to his favorite radio programs that included politics and sports. Some of his other favorite pastimes were reading, playing Solitaire on the computer and enjoyed listening to oldies and Christian music.

We were so blessed to have the love that our family shared. Love is a wonderful, beautiful, precious, everlasting, strong, enduring and comforting emotion. He captured our hearts. His family was his everything. Eugene was a dear Father of Dawnaree, Shivonne, and his late son Matthew. Loving Grandfather of Jonathan (Heather), Dana (Bradley), Kendra, Bailey, Jacob (Mackenzie), the late Zachary, Nicholas, and Clay. Brother of Kay Muller and family, and many nieces and nephews that adored their Uncle Eugene. He was preceded by his father and mother Edward and Ellen DeBoer.

He was a wonderful family man who adored his family. He will be missed by everyone that loved him. Funeral service will be Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00am at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON, 8909 Dixie Hwy. Burial follows with military honors at Lakeview Cemetery, Clarkston.  Family will receive friends Friday, June 17, 2022 from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
