JIDAS, ERNEST JAMES "JIM" of Clarkston, passed away January 14, 2022 at 81 years of age. Loving husband to Judy; loving father to Randy (Kim) and Katrina (Matt); beloved grandfather to Nick (Amber), Gina (Russell), Mikayla (Matt), Alayna and Garrett; great grandfather to Jake, Payton, Summer, Brady and Jaxon; son in law to the late Russell and Doris Cohoon; "brother" to Earl (Dee), Albert (Lettie), Connie (Jim), Dave (Judy), Roger (Lucy), predeceased by Daryl, Sheila (Gary), Barb, Ron (PattiJo) and Russ (Patty).

If you had the pleasure of knowing Jim, then you know what a truly beautiful person he was.  He was the most loving, caring and best husband, father and grandfather that you could ever hope for.  He put his family first, no matter what. Family and friends alike would call/text him, and if they needed help, he was there.  Or if you just needed to talk, he would listen.  Then he would offer his advice or wisdom which always included the positive side of the situation which would make you think 'I didn't look at it that way' or 'maybe it is not as bad as I thought it was.' He was a one of a kind or Unique (one of his favorite words) man with such a beautiful soul that no words can express how amazing he was and our family will be lost without him.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or gifts, we are asking that you do what Jim would do - show an act of kindness toward someone else.
