GONZALEZ, ELSIE, age 52 of Pontiac, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021after a hard fought battle. She was born on September 29, 1969 in Puerto Rico to parents Angel and Margarita Gonzalez. Elsie will be remembered as a kind and humble woman who was always willing to help. She loved spending time with her family and especially adored her son, Henry, who was the light of her life. She was a faithful woman who would visit Mt. Zion and Iglesia Llama de Fuego. Elsie also loved butterflies, doing her hair and nails, and crafting in her spare time. Elsie is survived by both parents; her son, Henry Cruz; siblings: Angel M. Gonzalez, Vilmarie Gonzalez, Yenira (Edwin Serrano) Gonzalez; nieces and nephews: Vilmarie Gonzalez, Angel Gonzalez, Licmary Gonzalez, Angelic Gonzalez, Angel M. Gonzalez, Yajaira E. Gonzalez, Carlos F. Barahona, Kiara J. Barahona, Alexa Y. Salvador, and Vanesa J. Salvador; and many friends and extended family. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – CLARKSTON. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 4-8pm.
