GIGNAC, MARIE ELAINE (née Story) of Davisburg, passed away December 28, 2023 at 82 years of age. Loving wife of the late Gerald Gignac; dear mother of Geri (Duane) DeClerck and Kimberlee McCarrick; grandmother of Gerald and Richard; great grandmother of Thomas, Jazmyn, Dakota, and Aurora; sister of Betty (the late Al) Tatro. Elaine was the epitome of wife, mother, and domestic engineer. She took her job seriously managing and running her home while raising her two daughters and then her two grandchildren. She also enjoyed plowing snow in the winter, yard work in the fall and especially enjoyed break time with family while sitting on the tractor with a Bud and a bag of chips! Later in life she enjoyed the freedom of shopping that always included the purchasing of shoes. Once she moved to Brookdale Senior Living Grand Blanc, she enjoyed maintaining a large bowl of snacks for neighbors and staff, her own Halloween everyday and a warm "hello" to all that stopped by for a snack. She will be missed for her big smile and the way she made the simplest things special. Funeral service will be Thursday, January 4, 2024 at 1 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON, (8909 Dixie Hwy). Family will receive friends Thursday 10:30 AM until time of service.
