ZEMNICKAS, EDWARD J. JR. "BUD" of Waterford, formerly of Hilldale, passed away January 19, 2023 at 80 years of age. Loving husband of Susan (neé McColl) for 59 years; dear father of David (Kristen) Zemnickas, Lynn (John) Draft, and Julie (Mitch) Petterson; grandfather of Cassidy, Abigail, Zachary, Zoe, and Tom. Ed was a master electrician with IBEW Local Union 58 in Detroit. He enjoyed golfing; boating; bowling; puzzles; spring break in Ft. Walton Beach, FL; cruises; and NY Times crossword. Time was spent with his son and friends hunting birds and deer at his cottage in Atlanta, MI and fishing with his boyhood friend of 70 years, Jerry Rolak. A man of few words he enjoyed time with his family but always made time for his "quiet time" with a cold brew and comfy chair in front of the television. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

A memorial mass will be held Monday, Feb. 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Daniel Catholic Church, 7010 Valley Park Dr., Clarkston. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to McLaren Hospice and Home Care or The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
