NEWSBAUM, EDWARD LeROY, of West Bloomfield, passed away June 2, 2020 at 85 years of age. Born November 24, 1934 in Pontiac, Michigan son of the late, Lewis and Dorothy Newsbaum (nee Harroun); beloved husband of Jo Ann (nee Golden) for 34 wonderful years; cherished father of Mark (Tasha) Newsbaum, Kristine (Robert) Myers, Angela (Mike) Dorais, Marty (Andrea Seigel) Cooper, Bradley (Nancy) Cooper and Karen Kossin; proud grandfather of 13 and great grandfather of 3; dearest brother of the late Bertie Harrison, the late Harriet Dickinson and the late Charles Newsbaum. Edward retired from General Motors in 1998 after 22 years of service; he then became an associate at the Home Depot. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Korean War. In his spare time he enjoyed golf, traveling and trips to the casino. Edward also loved animals, especially his friend Cloe. A graveside service will take place at a later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Kindly keep Edward and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
