div class="MsoNormal" "margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;" Arial;"age 80, Arial;passed away peacefully on April 21, 2014 at St. Elizabeth's Manor in Bristol, RI./div div class="MsoNormal" "margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;" Arial; line-height: 115%; Arial;"Born in Detroit, MI on July 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Roy Cooley and Georgia (Hill) Cooley./div p class="MsoNormal" "margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;" line-height: 115%; Arial;"She is survived by her daughters, Karen Amidon of Longs, SC and Maureen (John) Barnitt of Portsmouth, RI; granddaughter Bronte Barnitt of Portsmouth, RI.!--?xml:namespace prefix = "o" /--o:p/o:class="MsoNormal" "margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;" line-height: 115%; Arial;"She is preceded in death by her late sister Judy Krogulecki, her late brother Brandon Cooley and her beloved grandson Erik Kolomitz. p class="MsoNormal" "margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;" line-height: 115%; Arial;"Dorothy spent the last twenty years of her life living in Nevada and Rhode Island to be near her family. She especially loved being with her granddaughter Bronte and watching her grow up. p class="MsoNormal" "margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;" line-height: 115%; Arial;"In her earlier days while in good health, Dorothy discovered sailing. Traveling aboard a sailboat from British Colombia to San Diego, where she then settled for many years. There she enjoyed making new friends and spending time with her grandson Erik. She enjoyed a simple life of walks on the beach with her much loved dog Misty.o:p/o:class="MsoNormal" "margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;" line-height: 115%; Arial;"Dorothy loved animals, especially dogs. p class="MsoNormal" "margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;" line-height: 115%; Arial;"Dorothy spent much of her life in Michigan with her loving parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. It was where she raised her family and made some of her closest and longest friendships.o:p/o:class="MsoNormal" "margin: 0in 0in 10pt; text-align: justify;" line-height: 115%; Arial;"Dorothy (Dottie) will be missed very much.
