(nee Potter) of Waterford went to be with the Lord on September 15, 2016 at 84 years of age. She had recently been diagnosed with lung cancer and passed peacefully in her sleep at home with family. Dorothy was born in Pontiac on June 5, 1932 and was the last surviving sibling of 5 to Harold and Alice Potter. Her religious beliefs were very important to her and had been a long time member of Grace Lutheran Church in Pontiac, later joined and was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in Waterford. Dorothy was the beloved wife of Glenn for 63 years; loving mother of Deborah Blackerby, Carol Cutcher, George Blackerby and the late Chris Blackerby; grandmother of Dean, Shelly, Jeremy, Jeffrey, Greg and Stevi-Leigh; great-grandmother of Jillian, Kaydance, Daniella, Eric, Dominic and Lincoln. Dottie or Dottie Mae, as she was referred to by some, was very loving, giving and selfless; brought a lot of joy and happiness to those around her. She will truly be missed by so many family members, friends, neighbors and all who knew her.
