of Franklin, North Carolina, formerly of Waterford, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday December 22, 2018 at 96 years of age. Born January 5, 1922 in Bicknell, Indiana the daughter to the late Edward and Tina Franklin. Beloved wife of the late Homer Asher and the late Marvin Christy; loving mother of Jerry (Connie) Asher of Franklin, NC, the late Edward Asher and the late Susan Magee; step mother of Sherry Foster and Peggy Marcilli both of Falls Church, MD; proud grandmother of 8 and great grandmother of 5; dearest sister of Margaret Dailey of Pinellas, FL and the late Bill Franklin. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Dorothy was the first woman to serve as General Supervisor for General Motors Truck and Coach in Pontiac. She was also blessed to take care of her wonderful family.
