Obituary

of Waterford, passed away at herhome on Silver Lake, November 5, 2017 at 90 years of age. Dear wife of the late F.H.O. Warner M.D. 'Hugh'; loving mother of Stephen C. Warner and Kathryn L. (Richard) Schneider; proudgrandmother of herfavorite grandson Kurt A. Schneider; sister of the late Charles (Marianne) Cooley. Doris grew up in West Bend, Wisconsin. She was a lifelong learner. She had aprescription for boredom:take another classand learn new things. Doris earned a masterrsquo;s degree in clinical psychology and a bachelor's of science in Mathematics degree from MacMurry College in Jacksonville, Illinois. She worked for several mental health agencies, as well as a member of, American Association of University Women (50 years), Waterford Township Library Broad, Michigan Library Association, former president of the Michigan Council for Libraries, Friends for Libraries, and the Waterford Board of Education. Librariesand educationwere her passions, as well as, the arts. Because of her love of mathematics Doris began a second career in her 50's as a Financial Planner with Sigma Financial Corp., helping many people in and around the Waterford area with one of life's overwhelming tasks, their finances. She was instrumental in establishing the Waterford Friends of the Arts. Doris loved to travel, especially with the Nomads andElder Hostel Travel Groups even a trip to Africa to celebrate her 80th birthday. She was passionate about everything she did, which included playing the organ, photography, weaving,time with her family, friends, and when she wasnrsquo;t working on her many projects, she was enjoying time at her home (built with her husband Hugh) in the 60rsquo;s on Silver lake. br
