KATCHKA, DORIS JOHANN (nee Baal) age 87 passed away July 6, 2021. She was born June 7, 1934. Raised in Pontiac, Doris married Barron and raised five children while going back to school. She retired from the Pontiac Visiting Nurses Association as a LPN. In the 1990's she and Barron moved to Dubuquc, Iowa and set up shop in the historic district. She loved her row house with grannies attic and her flowerboxes on the front and back porches. Much of her time was spent in Sherrill, Iowa with Uncle Dan and the United Church of Christ where she was the organist and an active member for Jesus Christ. She also decorated the church for different holidays, pot-lucks, seasons, and pancake breakfast was one of her favorites. Doris is preceded in death by her husband Barron; daughter Rene', Uncle Dan, brother Richard, and brother in law Marshall. Survived by her children, Michael (Kathleen), Lisa (Don), Mark, and Sam; grandchildren Noah (Lirio), Robert (Kelly), and Case (Carolyn); great grandchildren Nova, Noah, Richard, Madelyn, Annabelle, Jaxson, Gavin, Stella, and Sloane. She also leaves behind her sisters Jenny (Dave) and Verena; sister in law Marilyn; brother David (Judy); brother in law Michael (Pat); sister in laws Glenda and Devorah; and many nieces and nephews.
