pwas born August 31,1931 in Pontiac, Michigan. The daughter of Theodore and Dorothy Gertz, she graduated from Pontiac Central High School. She married Harry T. Dayner Septemeber 11, 1954. They made their home in Waterford, Michigan where they raised their three children. A devout Christian, Doris is survived by her loving husband Harry. Beloved mother of Susan Dayner, Terry Kling, (Frank), Tom Dayner, (Tim Kilgore); loving grandmother to Christopher Johnston, (Sarah), Kaylyn Kling, Travis Johnston, (Lindsey), Kelly Kling, and Kevin Kling; cherished great-grandmother to Lauren and Jack Johnston. She is survived by her sister, Irene Lornez, brother-in-law Dave Matteson, many nieces and nephews and life long friend Dorothy amp; Don Keener. She was preceded in death by her brother, Sonny Gertz, sister Sandra Matteson, and sister Betty Lou Patterson. Doris was loved and will be missed by all that loved her. She was a good friend, wife, sister, mother and grandma, always patient and kind. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved little kids! All who knew her loved receiving jars of her jelly.
