BRITT, DORIS LAVERN (nee Adams), age 85, of Clarkston, passed away September 2, 2023. She was born on June 9, 1938, in Powe, Missouri, daughter to the late Charlie and Sadie Adams (nee Whitehead). Loving wife of the late Johnie for many years; dear mother of Jeanette (Brian) Wode and Jeff (Patty) Britt; proud grandmother of Adam (Morgan) Wode, Patrick (Kaitlin McClendon) Wode, Michael (Emma) Wode, Spencer (Alexis) Britt, Candice (Joe) Kowalski and the late Robert Dodd; great grandmother of Skyelar, Resse, Mason, Louise, and Ben. She is preceded by all eight of her siblings. Doris worked for Clarkston Community Schools for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed being an active member of the Oakland Woods Baptist Church and spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, 11:00 AM at Oakland Woods Baptist Church; 5628 Maybee Road, Clarkston. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Church. Interment Chaulk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri. Arrangements entrusted to Coats Funeral Home-Waterford.
