Donna graduated from Waterford Kettering High School in 1975. Growing up, she was a speed skater, played softball and loved to bowl, later in life she enjoyed bowling on a league with her daughter. She also played the accordion and was a big fan of all Detroit professional sports teams such as the Lions, Tigers and Pistons. She adored her grey tabby cat named Lilly.
