HIMMELSPACH-COFFMAN, DONNA formally of Davisburg,Dryden, Sylvan Lake, and Pontiac, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 4, 2026, at 96 years of age. She was the loving wife of the late William Himmelspach for 32 years and the late Robert Coffman for 20 years; cherished mother of Donna Marie Barron, Michael ( Mary Anne) Himmelspach, Patricia Himmelspach, John (Jan) Himmelspach, William ( fiancee' Pam Greetis) Himmelspach, Kathleen ( Scott) Brady, Theresa ( David) Suiter, Annette Himmelspach Collins, Kimberly ( Craig) Winston, and step-son Anthony ( Joanna) White, beloved grandmother of Kaleigh Kleisch, Jamie Barron, Melanie Chalawich, Micah Himmelspach, Matt Himmelspach, Jennifer Cook, Desiree Brewer, Cory Wholehan, Katie Coon, Jake Himmelspach, Aaron Himmelspach, Koleen Adams, Justin Brady, Sarah Opperman, Stefan Brady, Kristi Barg, Adam Suiter, Kalyn Collins, Kristen Collins, Morgan Winston- Ramos, Olivia Fedewa, and Leah Winston.

Born in Royal Oak to Stuart and Leone (née Smith) Stein, she grew up in Southfield with her 8 siblings who preceded her in death. After most of her children were grown, Donna embarked on an 11 year career in nutrition and food service at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Pontiac.

Throughout her life, Donna was fashionable, energetic, and loved to dance. Give Donna an open floor and some music, even if that floor was in a department store, and there was a good chance she would be dancing. It didn't matter who was watching - if the music was playing Donna was dancing.

Donna made growing old look easy, doing cartwheels at 60 and planking at 80. Even though she loved being active, Donna also enjoyed an evening of cards, bingo, people watching, being around good company, and sharing Grandma's Corner with lifelong friend Jane Morin.

One of Donna's greatest pleasures was being a mother to her 9 children, grandmother to her 22 grandchildren, and GG to her 47 great-grandchildren. She took great joy and pride in being part of their lives,and was often heard sharing their accomplishments. At 96, Donna leaves behind a family large enough to fill a ballroom, decades of memories, and more stories than anyone could possibly share. Her family will remember her for the love she gave them, the fairness ( no favorites) with which she treated them, and the love of dancing she passed on to all of them.

Donna's passing leaves an enormous hole in the hearts of her family, but her loving spirit will live on in the 9 children, 22 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and all of those who were fortunate to know her.

Knowing Donna, if there is music playing wherever she is now, she is probably already on the dance floor.
