Donna Jean Ritchie, age 89 of Waterford, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. She was born on March 4, 1935 in Auburn Heights, MI to the late Donald and Ovie (Scarbrough) Beacom. Donna was an outstanding mother. She was dedicated to providing for her children under any circumstance. She enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas at her home and was a wonderful cook and baker – she made the best homemade chocolate pies! Donna was a member of Central United Methodist Church, the Waterford Eagles, Red Hat Society, and was also active with the Waterford Senior Center.  She loved working on puzzles and crocheting doilies. More than anything, she loved and cherished her children and grandchildren. Donna is survived by her children: Julie (Larry Warunek) Allen, David T. (Susan) Linsenman, Sandi (Vince) Taliercio, Butch (Lynda) Ritchie, Ron (Julie Day) Ritchie, Jane (Tom) Boyer, and Lori Hooper; numerous grandchildren,  great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter; and her best friend, Margaret Lemos. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ritchie, and siblings: Geraldine (the late Richard) Jameson and Donald (the late Barb) Beacom. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Monday, May 20, 2024 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – CLARKSTON. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 1-8pm and again on Monday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Interment at Ottawa Park Cemetery.
