KNIGHT, DONNA JEAN, Shelby Twp., passed away October 20, 2019 at 73 years of age. Born March 5, 1946 in Ortonville, Michigan daughter of the late Robert Hutchinson and the late Margaret (Clyde) Hensey nee Vincent; beloved wife of Robert Knight for 50 years; cherished mother of the late Penny Frick, Peggy (Clark) Essenmacher, Tonya (Nick) Colangelo, Robert (Jen) Knight II and step mother of Lee (Sandy) Metheny and Autumn Knight; special grandmother of the late Justin Ramirez, Kaitlyn Ramirez, Chelsey (Albert) Stephens, Selina Knight and 25 other grandchildren; dearest great grandmother to 41 great grandchildren; sister of the late Glenn (Barb Cosner) Hutchinson, Carolann (James) Reed, Robert (the late Pam) Hutchinson, Carl (Sandra) Hutchinson, Elaine Hensey, Bonnie (John) Cummings, Catherine Berutti, Betty (the late Edward) Tingley, Roberta (Paul) Capistrant, the late Earl Hutchinson and the late Roger Hutchinson; special friend of Rita, Tony, Hope and Pauline.Donna graduated from Clarkston High School back in 1964. She worked as a Teacher's Aide in the Pontiac school district for many years. Donna was known as the family "snitch" by her siblings; she was a tremendous bowler and met the love of her life Robert at the bowling alley on the evening of February 11, 1969. From that day on Donna and Robert were inseparable, raising their big wonderful family together. A few days prior to their meet Robert distinctly remembers a beautiful woman dancing in a red dress at the local pub, and that lady was Donna. Both Donna and Robert were hospital ministry chaplains for 32 years. Her hobbies include sewing, playing cards like gin and she was a phenomenal cook. She lit up any room she entered with her beauty and her smile. She always took care of everyone around her including her community. Donna was truly loved and will be deeply missed.
