GUGINS, DONNA JEAN, age 89 of Waterford, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022. She was born on December 25, 1932 in Detroit to parents Leo and Sadie Franzel. Donna enjoyed visiting the casinos and she loved dining out, especially at Big Boy, but because of the people – not the food! She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and loved to watch Dancing with the Stars and game show reruns. Donna is survived by her children: Charles (Gweneth) Gugins, Sandra (Stanford) Roberts, Donna (Gary) Wall, Kimberly Kasic, and Catherine (Terry) Blevins; grandchildren: Dan (Amanda) Gugins, Don Roberts, Dave (Donna) Roberts, Jeff (Angel) Roberts, Dennis Wall, Shelly (Chad) Schloss, Nickie Gugins , Jerry Blevins, Jr., Jayson (Liz) Blevins, and Jacob Blevins; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and sister, Ilene (the late Loren) Schneidewind. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Charles Gugins; son, Michael Gugins; and many siblings. The family would like to give special thanks to Sue Shier and the staff at Standish Home for their care and compassion for Donna. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Interment at Christian Memorial Cemetery.
