KOVACS, DONNA E. of Waterford, formerly of Lincoln Park, passed away August 25, 2022 at 76 years of age. Loving wife of the late Joseph Kovacs; dear mother of Yvonne (Daniel) Mastrogiacomo, Michelle (Robert) Wharton, Janice Roman, and Joseph Kovacs; grandmother of Erin (Shaun) Mercer, Emily (McKay) Miles, Jake Mastrogiacomo, Jeremy Wharton, and Sydnie Mastrogiacomo; great grandmother of Samuel Miles; sister of Debbie (Bruce) White, Jeanette (Gary) Shelton, Becky (John) Wilson, Colleen (Ken) Gibbs, the late Dale (the late Lois) Campbell. Donna was an avid seamstress. She managed a Minnesota/Hancock Fabric store for many years; worked for First of America Bank/PNC in the mail room and eventually to the loan department; and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting from Wayne State University at age 50. She was a gentle, quiet, and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her faith was important to her as a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was well known for her sewing, quilting, reading, and working jigsaw puzzles. A determined woman who will be long recognized for the wonderful job she did raising her children. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 5464 Waterford Rd, Clarkston. Family will receive friends Monday 4-8 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Private burial at Michigan Memorial Cemetery, Flat Rock.
