SENKMAJER, DONALD N., of Algonac, passed away on October 22, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on July 17, 1940, in Racine, Wisconsin, Don was the beloved son of Louis and Clara (Miller) Senkmajer.

Dear father of Denise (Brian) Palmer and Joseph (Deborah) Senkmajer; proud grandfather of Brian (Rachel), Nicole (Ross), Matthew (Kadie), Alexa (Christian), and Joseph; great-grandfather of Viviana, Clara, and Freddie; and dear brother of the late Mary Ann (the late Edward) Kitchen, Robert (Jackie) Senkmajer, and Diane (the late James) Grenke.

A machinist by trade, Don built a career doing what he knew and loved. He owned and operated Don's Auto Parts in Detroit for more than 30 years, earning the respect of customers and colleagues through his hard work, knowledge, and dedication to his craft.

Don enjoyed spending time outdoors. Fishing, boating, and golf were among his favorite pastimes, providing opportunities to relax and enjoy life's simple pleasures. Whether on the water or on the golf course, he appreciated the chance to spend time doing the things he loved.

Don's life was defined by hard work, self-reliance, and practical skills. He belonged to a generation that valued showing up, keeping your word, and putting in an honest day's work. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and the straightforward way he lived his life.
