Donald Lee
Cozart
Apr 11, 1957 — Mar 16, 2024
Cozart, Donald Lee, age 66 of Clarkston, passed away March 16, 2024. Don was born in Flint, Michigan on April 11, 1957 to loving parents, Donald Lee Cozart and Ann Corinne Phagan (nee George); beloved fiancé, Dawn; great friend and first wife, Gracie Pauline Allen; loving father of Eugene Cozart, Donna Cozart, and Donald (Amber) Collins; proud grandfather of Christina "Chrissy", Jolene, Shelby "Public Enemy #1", Kevin, Zackary, Christopher, Kaleb, Donald Jr., and Savonnah; great grandfather of Asher, Apollo, Brynlee, Lydia, Eddy, Emily, and Patrick Jr.; dearest brother of the late Donald Cozart, the late Dennis Cozart, the late Becky Cozart, Victor Cozart, Sheila Kirby, Mary Cozart, Carl (Aleta) Cozart, Judith Trottier, Michael (Jill) Ulanski, and stepsister Luanne. Don was raised in Pontiac, Michigan and started driving trucks as early as age 14. He worked for ACC Penske as a truck driver out of Flint, Michigan for 25+ years until he retired. In his free time, he loved to ride his Harley, attend the Dream Cruise, and spend time with his grandchildren. He was a great cook and was well known for his delicious ribs. A persistent man, Don made numerous trips to Kroger to make unnecessary purchases just to see his now fiancé, Dawn. He ran a booth at the flea market on Dixie Highway called "Don's Place" where he sold Harley swag. One of the greatest gifts he ever received was reuniting with his son who he had not seen in 30 years in Pennsylvania. They have been inseparable since. Don's loving smile and quick wit will be deeply missed. He was loved. A funeral service will take place on Thursday March 21, 2024, at 2 PM at Coats Funeral Home - Waterford (3141 Sashabaw). Family will receive friends Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 12 PM until the service begins. In honor of Don, the family requests donations to be made to Susan G. Komen – Breast Cancer.
