of Clarkston, formerly of Walled Lake, went to be with the the Lord November 18, 2016 at 92 years of age. Loving husband of Nona for 73 years; beloved father of Jesse (Linda) Chapin, Larry (Cathy) Chapin, Connie (David) Difatta, and Paula (Dennis) Smith; grandfather Dr. Donald W. Chapin, Andy (Marcy) Chapin, Douglas Chapin, Theresa Corwin, Tim Chapin, the late Michael Chapin, Abbie (David) Schlie, Becky (Andy) Efird, John (Maria) Difatta, and Miss Lisa (Chris) White; great grandfather of 18; great great grandfather of 1. Preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Don was a veteran of US Air Corp WWII. He retired from Ford Transmission in Livonia after 30 years of service. After retirement Don and Nona were wagon masters for the Honey RV Co. escorting members on trips thoughout the US and Canada; active members of the Coachmen Caravan Club and Stagecoachmen Chapter Five enjoying many trips, rallies, and camp outs for 30 years. We thank God for all his years with us and we wait for the day that he and Nona can find the next Dairy Queen.
