Dona Wall Herring of Bloomfield Hills, MI, passed way November 12, 2022 at 88 years of age. Loving wife for 66 years of Clyde Herring, dear mother of Ann Herring, Amy (Tim) Foley, and Ellen (Michael) McEvily. Beloved grandmother (Nona) of Craig Miner, Drew (Abby) Miner, Sydney Foley, Claire Foley, Megan McEvily (Michael) Jank, Thomas McEvily and Cara McEvily. Preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Helen Wall, sister Alma Materna Tallenger, and brothers Gerald "Pat" (Sandy) Wall and Donald (Shirley) Wall.

Dona grew up in Drayton Plains and began her career at General Motors after graduation where she met her future husband Clyde. Five years later, she was the devoted mother to her three girls, moving to Skaneateles, NY and returning to her home state and settling in Bloomfield Hills to raise her family.

She found joy in gardening, was a Master Gardener and devoted volunteer at Cranbrook Gardens. Dona and Clyde were adventurous sailors exploring the Great Lakes, Canada and the Caribbean. She was a committed volunteer at her children's schools, as room mother and PTA President. Dona always had a project underway at home − baking, pottery, basket weaving, needlepoint and celebrating the holidays with family and friends. Swimming, playing Scrabble and roasting marshmallows around the campfire are treasured memories of our summers Up North at Camp Popinona on Mullett Lake.

A celebration of Dona's life will be held in Spring 2023.
