DERYL GENE PACE, age 71, of Pontiac, MI, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. Deryl was born on March 8, 1952 in Pontiac to parents Bernard and Maxine (Strong) Pace. He graduated from Pontiac Northern High School and later worked for the Bloomfield Hills Schools for over 30 years. Deryl enjoyed golfing and was an avid bowler. He spent almost everyday at the bowling alley and had bowled a 300 over twenty times. He was also a car enthusiast and enjoyed going to the casinos. He loved making his yearly trips to Tennessee and spending time with his family. Deryl is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Brenda Pace; sons: Scott (Michelle) Pace and Jason (Marcy) Pace; grandchildren: Ashley (Tony), Jason, Marissa, and Jordan; siblings: Jeff (Connie) Pace, Susan (the late Leaton) Ruble, and Mark (Theresa) Pace; and mother-in-law, Beverly Hensley. He was preceded in death by both parents. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 24, 2023 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD. The family will receive visitors prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM.
