DELORES FERN CONDON, age 94, passed away July 30, 2021, quietly in her home surrounded by her loving family after a battle with multiple health issues. She lived most of her life in Waterford. Delores was loving wife of late Andy Condon for 46 years. She was dear mother of 3 children, Connie (Bill) Haviland (both deceased), Andrea (Rod) Gray, and Andy Condon. She was proud grandmother of 3 grandchildren, Tony Haviland, Tara (Ed) Dietz, and Melissa Miller; great grandmother of 8 great grandchildren, Isabella, Julianna, Angelina, Charlie, Joey, Sis, Billy, and Luke. Delores was deeply loved by all of her children. She was known to give of herself for their well being and deeply loved her children. Delores was predeceased by her 5 siblings. She is survived by 26 loving nieces and nephews.Delores was born on April 11, l927 in Kankakee, Illinois. She had to quit school early and work to help support her family and was known as the best waitress at Teds Trailer. She graduated from Cosmetology School after marrying Andy and was a beautician for many years sharing her skill with friends and family.Delores married her husband Andy in 1945 and they were married for 46 years. They met working at General Motors. Delores was a jitney driver and Rosie the Riveter and Andy was a truck driver. Andy asked Delores' boss if it is ok to date Delores. Her boss said "I don't care if you marry her". They went on to have their 3 children together and create their own Condon TV business, successfully known in the community for many years. They enjoyed many years of boating and water sports together as a family.Delores was a born again Christian and was baptized at age 39. After retirement, Delores and Andy traveled extensively in their loved motor home and they enjoyed many years square dancing together with her sister June and brother- in- law Jack. They also were gifted to enjoy many exotic travels together with friends and siblings provided to them by her brother Jack. Delores, in addition, enjoyed many extra exotic fun filed girly trips provided by her sister-in-law Barb. Delores was fun to be with, would love to go anywhere, enjoyed doing everything and was kind to everyone. Delores' companion after the death of her husband Andy was Michael. They worked together running the cable TV show "Michigan Spotlight" and Delores enjoyed operating the camera. Delores loved to dance and they enjoyed many years doing ballroom dancing together and also did some European travels. Delores' high school forever friends were Manda and Wanda. Delores loved to do crafts together with her sister Poots and later learned to play the organ. She did exceptional art work in coloring class and always won the best decorated Christmas door.Delores enjoyed her jewelry and was always known to have a matching set of earrings with every outfit she wore, whether dressed for the doctor or dressed for the ball. People would always compliment her on her beautifully coordinated outfits. Delores was a kind and sensitive person known for her giving heart. We all deeply love her and will miss her presence dearly.
