Obituary

Delmer Gene Logan, age 89 of Waterford, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. He was born on June 16, 1934 in Bernie, Missouri. Delmer was an avid Detroit Tigers and Lions fan. He enjoyed camping, sweets, and especially loved old westerns and classic country music. Full of wit, wisdom and knowledge, Delmer firmly believed anything could be fixed with a hammer and some duct tape! He took great pride and was very meticulous about his yard. More than anything, Delmer was a wonderful man who loved his family – especially the younger kids who would always put a great big smile on his face. Delmer is survived by his children: Steve (Monica) Logan, Melody (Ken) Reichenbach, Melinda (Dave) Bonotto, Bruce (Rosie) Caldwell, and Laura (Epi) Robinette; grandchildren: Shane (Stacey) Logan, Elliotte (Thunder) Logan, Maxim Logan, Sarah (Joe) Ogg, Emily (Brandon) Lewis, Kyle (Nicole) Reichenbach, Travis (Taylor) Reichenbach, Mark (Alyssa) Logan, Melody Theut, Mitchell Theut, Rachel Owen, Ryan Owen, Justin Caldwell, Ashley (Brandon) Robinette, and Genavieve (Reilly) Robinette; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents: Gracie Hall and Harvey Shaw; wife, Karen Logan; son, Mark Logan; grandson, James Logan; and siblings: Monroe Shaw, Bob Shaw, and Joyce Shaw. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Coats Funeral Home – Waterford. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 4-8pm and again on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. Interment at Ottawa Park Cemetery. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in honor of Delmer.
