PATTERSON, Debora Lynn, age 62 of Royal Oak, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022. She was born on January 19, 1960 in Detroit to parents Joseph and Jacqueline (Tedesco) Yurgin.  Debbie enjoyed sewing, painting, and decorating her home. More than anything, she cherished spending time with her children. Debbie met her husband James met in an unusual way: one day both of their moms (who were strangers at the time) got to talking while they were in line at KFC, both mentioning that their children were single. One thing led to another, and one April 4, 2001, Debbie and James were married. Debbie will be lovingly remembered for her big heart and kind soul. Debbie is survived by her husband of 21 years, James Patterson; children: Eric (Katie) Hull, Ashley Hull, and Connor Patterson; grandson, Calvin Hull; brother, Michael (Susan) Yurgin; nieces, Rachel and Jessica Yurgin; mother-in-law, Paula Patterson; Sister-in-law, Kim (Paul) Wyrot; best friend, Cindy Reed; uncle, Jim (Sandy) Smith; cousin, Jamie Smith. She was preceded in death by both parents. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Friday, August 12, 2022 at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 from 4-8pm. Interment at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation or American Diabetes Association in honor of Debbie.
