LAWSON, DAVID NELSON, age 62, of Ortonville, passed away suddenly on September 6, 2021. Dave was born in Pontiac, MI to parents Douglas and Betty (nee Jarrard) Lawson. Loving husband of Susan for almost 39 years; proud father of Chad Lawson; dear brother of Chris (Denise MacDonald) Lawson and Debbie (Doug) Martin; grandfather of Colton Jeffrey Lawson. Dave is also survived by his Mother, Betty Lawson, and his in-laws, Robert and Barbara Pickett. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Lawson. Dave and Sue loved spending their free time at their cabin up north in Gladwin, Michigan, where they loved taking walks and watching deer. Dave loved boating, dancing, laughing loudly, cornhole tournaments, and his friends and family. Dave always made sure that everyone he met felt special and would have a good time. Dave will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, and a wonderful friend. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Overtyme Grill and Tap Room from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Dave was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
