David R. Kitchen, age 90, of Waterford, passed peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2026. He was the beloved son of the late Ralph and Ruth (nee Smith) Kitchen.

David was the loving father of Jerry Kitchen and the late Mark Kitchen. He is survived by his former wife, Dorothy Hooper. He was a proud grandfather of Jeffrey (Adriana) Kitchen, Tyler Kitchen, and Kaylee Kitchen, and a cherished great-grandfather of Aurora and Colette. David was also the brother of John (Gina) Kitchen, Paul (the late Phylis) Kitchen, Lila (Dick) Birchmeier, Beth (Phil) Hawkins, and the late Ann (Rob) Reeves.

David retired from General Motors after 33 years of dedicated service as a Test Driver. Outside of work, he enjoyed boating, attending sporting events, spending time with his family, and staying active at Planet Fitness. He treasured the time spent with those he loved and the many memories made throughout his life.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 1:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME – WATERFORD, 3141 Sashabaw Road.
