BILLS, DAVID S. of Holly, passed away unexpectedly on January 6, 2023 at 60 years of age. Dear father of Dylan (Nicole) Bills; grandfather of Dane and Blake; son of Vivian and the late Duane Bills; brother of Brenda Madar, Daniel Bills, Beverly Jeffries, and the late Duane Bills. David was a craftsman who was third generation owner and operator of Bill's Boys Hardwood Flooring established by his grandfather in 1922. Dave was a charming, charismatic, "pain in the arse" with a huge sense of humor. Claiming the name "Barracuda Bills" he could regularly be found at his favorite watering hole, Boat Bar in Ortonville. For many years he enjoyed hunting trips from the woods of northern Michigan to the mountains of Colorado. He will always be remembered for his caring disposition and the smile he could bring to your face. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 16, 2023 at 12 noon at COATS FUNERAL HOME-CLARKSTON. Family will receive friends Monday 10 AM until time of service. To recognize his love for the outdoors, memorials may be made to National Wildlife Federation.
