LUMM, DANIEL THURMAN, age 62 of Waterford, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024. He was born on August 15, 1961 in Pontiac. Preceded in death by parents Donald and Eva (Pace) Lumm. Dan was a graduate of CMU where he played in the Jazz Lab. He retired from Concord Management as the National Maintenance Supervisor in 2017. He played the trumpet for Christmas and Easter at Clarkston United Methodist Church. He was a talented trumpet player and was a member of Waterford Brass. Dan enjoyed birding and was an official hawk counter for 17 years at Holiday Beach, Canada. He was well traveled, having visited all 50 states and enjoyed many cruises. Loving brother to siblings: Paula Jarjosa, Jerry (Jeanne) Lumm, Yvonne (David) Sleight, and Laura (Terry) Moore. Adored uncle of Christopher (Melany), Julie (Fred), Matthew, Jennifer (Luke), Jillene (Nate), Katherine, Rachel (Keith), and Jessica; and cherished great uncle to Jacob, Jessalyn, Olivia, Freddie, Ashley, Christopher, Charlie, Ryan, Jerry, and Hayleigh. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Clarkston United Methodist Church (6600 Waldon Rd., Clarkston). Visitation will take place on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 1-8pm at Coats Funeral Home – Waterford, and again on Saturday at the church, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10am. A private interment will be held at Waterford Center Cemetery. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to National Audubon Society or Oakland County 4 H in honor of Dan.
