FOURNIER, DANIEL P. of Waterford, passed away October 8, 2021 at 71 years of age. Loving husband of Martha (nee Williams) for 44 wonderful years; dear father of Mark (Denise) Fournier, Lindsay (Josh) Watson, and Darcy Fournier; papa of Penelope and Fiona; brother of Sharon (Gary) Hodges, Ron Fournier, Pamela Fournier, and the late Doreen Fournier. Preceded in death by his parents Philip and Dorothy.  Dan retired from the Oakland County Sheriff Department in 2005 after 31 years of dedicated service as a forensic specialist. He was always looking for answers in his profession and personal life. He could fix anything and worried about everything so he could care and protect his family. He was a fanatic bug collector, a passion from his childhood and was affectionately called, "the bug man". He thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors; camping; hiking; biking; and traveling all over the country. Dan was a man of faith and conviction, was a member of  The River Church in Waterford for many years and recently attended Oakland Woods Baptist Church. His family will miss his warm smile and the love, strength and care he had for them. He loved his family well. Funeral service will be Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11 AM at COATS FUNERAL HOME – CLARKSTON . Family will receive friends Thursday from 4-8 PM.
