WALENSKI, DALE M. SR. of Waterford, passed away August 10, 2022 at 80 years of age. Loving husband of Maureen (nee O'Mara) for 57 years; dear father of Dale Walenski, Jr. and Nicholas (Amber) Robinson; grandfather of Savannah, Tristan, Kensley, and Cody; brother of David (Charlotte) Walenski, Sr., Anthony (Debra) Gelen, Jr., and Dwayne (Jeri) Gelen; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his canine companion Maggie. Dale was a veteran of the US Army –Vietnam era. He retired in 1994 from Pontiac Motor after 30 years of service. In his spare time he enjoyed his motorcycle; old cars; and his 1954 Ford pickup truck. He was an active member of the Pontiac Eagles Lodge 1230 and member of the Flaming Pistons Car Club. Dale was known and will be fondly remembered for his awesome homemade peanut brittle and salsa. Memorial visitation will be Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 2-5 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Burial with military honors will be Monday, August 29, 2022 at 9:30 AM at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Special thanks to Hospice of Michigan for the care they provided.
