She was a 1977 graduate of Madison High School and received a BA in English from Wayne State University. With a sharp sense of progressive thought, Cindy was fierce in her defense of the underprivileged and a champion of the disfranchised. To hundreds of abused and homeless dogs and cats, she was their hero. She dearly loved wildlife, nature and digging in the dirt in her beautiful Hosta gardens. She loved a good Scrabble game, the purr of a cat and the hug of a child.
