LARGENT, CLETA J. of Clarkston, passed away April 17, 2024 at 98 years of age. Loving wife of the late Richard "Dick" Largent for 66 years; dear mother of Julie (Rick) Pankey, Cathy (the late Jack) Zahn, and Curt (Sue) Largent; grandmother of Michael (Anna), Scott (Alli), Andrea (Justin), Jessica (Brian), and the late Christopher; great grandmother of 15; sister of Curtis "Skee" Neal, the late Don Neal, and the late Barb Neal. Cleta was the secretary at Mason Junior High from its opening in 1965 until her retirement from the Waterford School District in 1990 after 25 years of service. She was a lifetime member since childhood of Community Presbyterian Church. She was a season ticket holder of the Fisher Theatre; member of the American Business Women's Association; and Town Hall attendee for many years; and an avid bowler. Cleta was quick witted with a slightly dry sense of humor who always spoke her mind. She could be stern, especially with children, but would end the conversation with a laugh. Cleta was well known for getting together with friends and family, playing games, cards, lunch with friends, and family game nights. She will be deeply missed by her family, lifelong friends, and her beloved church family. Funeral service will be Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 11 AM at Community Presbyterian Church, 4301 Monroe St. Waterford. Family will receive friends Wednesday 4-8 PM at COATS FUNERAL HOME-WATERFORD. Private burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
