Claudia "Nana"
Kampe
Jan 26, 1953 — Jul 23, 2023
Claudia "Nana" Kampe (née Lancaster), age 70 of Burton, MI passed away peacefully on July 23, 2023 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.
Claudia is survived by her adoring husband of 42 years, Jeff; loving children Paul (Nicole) Kampe and Emma (Chris) Berari along with her beautiful grandchildren Ella and Miles Kampe and Aiden Berari. Other surviving family includes her three younger siblings Richard (Mary) Lancaster, Jo (Ken) Swartzendruber and Everitt (preceded in death by Jodi) Lancaster, along with her many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Claudia was born January 26, 1953 in South Windsor, Ontario, Canada daughter of the late Mary "Betty" and Glen Lancaster. She was devoted to her faith, enjoyed going camping with her husband, and spending time with her grandchildren. She wholly treasured her family and the many, many friends she made throughout her life.
Claudia began her cancer journey just two short months ago and was determined to not let it define her. She fought with such courage and grace and will be sorely missed by all who loved and cared for her. Claudia made sure to let everyone around her know "This is not my entire story, this is just a chapter and it will not define me. I am still a wife, a mother, and a nana."
