Christine Lenore
(Oliver) Silvola
Jul 20, 1952 — Nov 25, 2022
SILVOLA, CHRISTINE LENORE, age 70, of Holly, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. Christine was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 20, 1952, to the late Benjamin Wallace and Lenore Adeline Oliver (nee Sugden); beloved wife of Gary Lee Silvola for 41 wonderful years; cherished mother of Brian (Ryan), Matthew (John), and Michael (Christopher) Silvola; dearest sister of Bill (Mary), Rick (Connie), sister-in-law Carol, and preceded in death by older sister Bonnie; chosen parent to her niece Jennifer and together they shared memories of glass pigs on the beach; proud fur baby mother of the aussie doodle Bailey, and the late golden retrievers: Sam, Chloe, and Brandy; fur baby grandma of the huskies Rocky and Dolly, Black lab Piper, miniature golden doodle Gracie, and preceded in death by the chocolate lab Dolce. Christine graduated from Ferndale High School in 1970. As soon as she graduated Gary took her out on their first date to the Edge Water Park off 7-mile road, she and the pink dress he fondly remembers her wearing was all it took. The two of them happily married at the Drayton Avenue Presbyterian Church in Ferndale and together they raised a wonderful family. Following high school, Christine received her Associates in Nursing at Oakland Community College. She worked at Beaumont Hospital and Henry Ford Hospital. In her spare time, Christine had a green thumb, and she would tend to her flower beds all year around. She was a woman of great faith and attended Flint Central Church every Sunday. Bailey, her Aussie doodle, would hear her say or spell "Ride" and she would grab her mom's purse and run to her car to go to McDonald's almost every morning. Bailey would stay by her side all the way to the end.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date in the spring. For those who would like to donate in Christine's name, please visit the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation
